The Urbanism of Frank Lloyd Wright Client—Princeton University Press Date—2015 9.5 by 11 inches, 464 pages, casebound Author—Neil Levine
This book is the first to comprehensively cover the urban project of Frank Lloyd Wright. Using newly commissioned photography of materials from the Frank Lloyd Wright Archive co-owned by Avery Library and the Museum of Modern Art as well as a range of contemporary materials this book presents Wright’s drawings in a new way—more naturalistic and accurate to tone of the artifacts themselves. The book avoids the typical traps of books on Wright’s work: red squares, architectural handwriting, stained glass like illustrations to create a more neutral environment that helps to evaluate Wright’s work anew. (However, we did make a nod to the Wright canon by wrapping this case bound book in an integrally colored red paper)
